Stephenie's Policies, Scheduling, and Payment Guidelines

To maximize the effectiveness of Stephenie's tutoring, she will only work with 8 students per small group at any given time.  She works with her students in 12, 24, 48, and 60-hour packages, depending on their goals and current level of proficiency. Due to the high demand for her services in test prep and College counseling, tutoring blocks must be bid on and purchased in advance.  She tutors students in the following prep windows:

• January 1st - March (for the March SAT)
• March to May/June/July (for the May/June/August SAT)
• Summer Prep (from June through September, for the August/October/November SAT)
• October to December (for the December SAT)

Ms. Stephenie's private rates only start at $120/hour**, and go down for her larger packages.  All packages are paid 50% in advance, 50% at the halfway mark. Ask about our small group rates.

The number of hours your child needs will depend on his or her current level of preparation, goals, and rate of progress.  In general, we recommend the following:

• 12 Hour Package (one to two hour sessions per week)
• 24 Hour Package (one to two 2-hour sessions per week): Students with high proficiency looking for a 250-300 point bump in their scores.
• 48 Hour Package (two 2-hour sessions per week): Students with goal scores significantly higher than their current performance level looking for a bump of 350-450 points
• 60 Hour Package (two to three 2-hour sessions per week over the course of two prep windows): Students with a large gap between their current and goal score levels, looking for an improvement of 500+ points on their SAT score.

When you fill her booking form, we'll set up a call to discuss your exact goals, figure out your child's current rate of progress, and answer any questions you have about the process.  Once we agree upon a start date and a 50% deposit is submitted, she'll work to set your child up with a full prep program, lay the foundation for her instruction, and get things started.
